Trash service is provided by your Homes Association as part of the dues you pay to
the association. Johnson County has initiated regulations that will require our
trash service to meet some additional guidelines.
There will be no limit on the amount
of household trash you may dispose of until January 1, 2012. Plastic bags can be
used for depositing trash inside the household waste container. However the trash,
recycling and yard waste separation rules will need to be followed as of August 29,
2011.
Town and Country Disposal will collect one bulk item per month, per home at no charge. Bulk items include: couch, chair, dresser, mattress, etc. Construction materials will not be collected. Please call Town and Country at least one business day prior to trash pickup to schedule your bulky item pick up. After notifying Town and Country, please place the item at the curb on Monday for collection. Additional bulk items can be collected for $15 per item and payment is due upon collection. Bulk item collection excludes appliances. However, appliances can be collected for an additional $15 charge. For additional bulk item and appliance pickup, arrangements must be made prior to Monday collection by calling Town and Country Disposal at 816.380.5595.
